ROCCA BORROMEO
BOOKSHOP AT ISOLA BELLA AND BORROMEO CASTLE
Which is the best way to remember forever the marvels of Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Rocca Borromeo? Surely a book can preserve the memories of your journey; a guide with wide photographic sections and accurate descriptions can make you real what have you seen, but also photographic books, souvenirs, little gifts, postcards and characteristic symbols of your stay on Lake Maggiore. This is what you can find at the bookshops on Isola Bella and at the Borromeo Castle in Angera, pretty outlets with a large range of articles, opened every day from 9:30 am to 17:30 pm.
COFFEE BREAK
ISOLA BELLA AND ROCCA BORROMEO
A good Italian coffee rounds off your visit at the Isola Bella Palace or at the beautiful Borromeo Castle in Angera. Inside the garden on Isola Bella, enveloped by orange and lemon fragrances, and close to the Rocca Borromeo, upon a flowered terrace, you can find a coffee point, opened every day (from 9:00 am to 17:30 pm), where you can have a tasting snack, sweet or salty, some local specialities, or where simply make a break during your visit. Moreover, for school trips, it is possible to reserve custom-made menus to offer like a snack for our young visitors. ROYAL HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY AND THE BORROMEO GARDENS
Royal Horticultural Society is an organization born in Great Britain in 1804, thanks to Sir Joseph Banks and John Wedgwood, both passionately fond of gardening and committed in new essences’ research. From the foundation, the mission is always the same: inspire, inform and educate those interested in gardening, in all its form. Royal Horticultural Society has been welcome received and has collected so many members all over Europe with its Flower Shows, where you can admire and buy the best and often more unusual plants for the season. The most famous RHS event is “The Chelsea Flower Show”, every year in May, in the homonym area of London. Isola Bella and Isola Madre, the first Italian Gardens, are RHS members since January 2003 and our event’s calendar has already some special appointments that you can’t lose. If you are interested in RHS activity, you can visit the web site www.rhs.org.uk
