Self guided audio tours Thanks to the Audioguides you will live an unforgettable experience.
Led by the voice of Madonna Cleofe dei Pio di Carpi, Lady of the fortress,
you will discover this fascinating place. The audioguides, hi-fi discs with headphones for one or two people,
are available at the ticket office in Italian, English and German. Rental is for one hour and thirty
minutes.

Borromeo - How to reach us
By car: Coming from Milan (km 61,5) on the Autostrada dei
Laghi (motorway) exit at Sesto Calende. Take the state road SS 629 towards
Angera and then follow signs to the Fortress.
By boat: The Fortress is connected to Stresa, Arona, Pallanza, Locarno etc. by the boats

The lake is served by a number of boat companies
offering regular connections to all destinations.
By train: Take the Ferrovie dello Stato (National Railways) Milano-Sempione line alighting at Arona station,
then catch a boat to Angera.

The fortress presents many barriers to wheel-chairs owing to the
pebbled surface of the entrance, narrow entrances and several stairs.
